La Rabida Children’s Hospital hosted its fourth annual Lace & Pearls Lawn Fête on Chicago’s lakefront this past July. La Rabida seeks to raise money for abused children and children with lifelong medical illnesses and disabilities. Cindi Elstein and the Women’s Board organized this annual event, which included the Greta Pope Orchestra, a masterful runway show by Russian clothing designer Yana German and an elegant buffet prepared by nine of Chicago’s most respected chefs. Making this evening most memorable were sponsors Frankie and Howard Alper, Dan and Susan Real, Fred Breglund, James McKinney, Peggy Gann and John Eberle. Donations included golf for four at Point O’ Woods Golf and Country Club and two Ukrainian art pieces by Anatoliy Khmara. Megan Yeiter
